“When picking a destination wedding in Washington DC, one of my biggest concerns was finding someone who could marry us. We wanted someone we knew and were comfortable with to make things personal and help calm our nerves. For us, Jeff immediately came to mind, as my husband had grown up being best friends with Jeff's son. However, I'd only briefly met him - on first impression, he was warm, kind and not intimidating. He seemed like someone you'd want to have around you on the biggest day of your life. This proved to be completely true for me. Our pre-marital counseling sessions with Jeff were so enjoyable and stress-free, as were the rehearsal and wedding.
As a bride, you have a million things to worry about when planning your wedding, but, for me, Jeff was never one of them. He is compassionate, intelligent, intuitive, and incredibly competent. I hardly had to give Jeff any instruction of what I was looking for and, not only did he immediately understand what I wanted for our ceremony, but he assured me he had it covered. And he truly did. He struck a beautiful balance between keeping a light and fun tone, although it was a religious ceremony. He even went as far as to do research about our destination so that he could tie it into the ceremony. Most importantly, Jeff was flexible and caring, which allowed for us to have a beautiful day with an absolutely worry free ceremony. I cannot recommend Jeff enough as an officiant!”

“I’ve known Pastor Jeff since I was little and have gone to several weddings he officiated and I always told him I wanted him to be the one to marry me and my future husband. I loved how involved he was in everything I wanted and he really listened to everything I had to say. My dad passed away two months before my wedding (Jeff did his funeral) and he knew I wanted my dad to be apart of my wedding, so he made that happen for me. He also did pre-marriage counseling that my husband and I still talk about if we are having disagreements about anything. The only thing that could have made my wedding any better would be if I had my dad physically there. Anyone would be lucky to have Jeff as their marriage officiant.”

Like many couples in 2020, Mason and I made the decision to postpone our large wedding due to COVID. Jeff was extremely flexible and was even kind enough to officiate our elopement ceremony in the meantime! Both of our weddings (still seems funny to say) were everything we wanted and more. For our wedding at Triple C Barrel Room, Jeff even tied in elements of the craft beer process into the service. We got married under a beautiful canopy of old live oak trees in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. A large portion of our attendees were from out of town, and we wanted to incorporate some appreciation of the low country setting into our ceremony. Jeff fulfilled that request, and more! He is an incredible storyteller, and has a true appreciation of history (our relationship history, our family’s history, the history of Pawley’s Island, SC!). Through his sermon, Jeff not only honored the history of our relationship, but also the history of the precious place where we decided to start our married lives. It was truly amazing and so memorable! Jeff is easy to to work with and made the entire process low-stress for us. We truly enjoyed our pre-marriage meetings with him and became closer as a couple through the process. Jeff made a genuine effort to get to know us, our relationship, and our families in advance of the wedding, and I think that is part of what made our day feel so special. I can’t imagine our wedding weekend without Jeff. He is truly the best!”
